The Bulk Experience

Buying loose means you only take exactly what you need. It keeps your pantry fresh and heavily reduces unnecessary packaging. The process is simple, and we are always on hand to help.

1

Bring Your Containers

Bring clean jars, cloth bags, or boxes from home. Forgot yours? We have paper bags and donated jars available.

2

Weigh the Empties

Pop your container on our scale to get its base weight (the tare). We subtract this at the checkout.

3

Fill & Pay

Fill up with as much or as little as you need, then bring it to the counter to be weighed and priced.

Common Questions

Practical details to help you prepare for your shop.

Do I have to bring my own containers?

While we highly encourage bringing your own jars, tins, or cotton bags to minimize waste, you don't have to. We provide recyclable paper bags for dry goods and often have a free basket of clean, sterilized community jars you can use.

Are all your products organic?

The majority of our wholefoods are certified organic. However, we also stock some items from local growers who use natural farming practices but do not hold official organic certification. Everything is clearly labeled on the dispensers.

Can I buy just a pinch of an expensive spice?

Absolutely. The beauty of shopping loose is that there are no minimum weights. If a recipe calls for just one teaspoon of cardamom or a single cinnamon stick, that is exactly all you need to buy.
